With the advancements in led's and longer lasting power supplies, lighting has become portable. in this 5 week project, i created a battery-powered lamp focusing on project architecture, multi-part assembly, and form giving.

INSPIRATION BOARDS
These boards tracked two different ideas, balance and the streamline movement. These were the two directions I wanted to play with during my ideation phase before settling on one or the other.

Inspired by the streamline movement, my battery powered lamp, Sling, is fully 3D printed from PLA using a Bamboo A1. The band is spray painted chrome and the base features a simple circuit connecting LED to batteries to button. In production, as told through the poster, the final product would be made of a frosted glass body and a stainless steel band.
